How to Navigate Crowds as an Empath 

Today, I’m sharing a super simple, practical tip that is really great for empaths and highly sensitive people when they’re dealing with crowds. A lot of times crowds can be really, really overwhelming for empaths. This tip is especially helpful this time of year as we move into the holiday season with busy stores, family gatherings, company parties, and more.

Before we get to the tip I’m going to share, I want to say that if you know you’re going to have to be in a crowd, it is really useful to make sure that you take care of yourself before and afterwards. When I know I need to be in a crowd some reason, I will make sure that I get a good night’s sleep the night before, that I rest during the day, that I meditate, that I take care of my energy field and that I also have time afterwards to decompress, maybe go into nature if I can.

But what happens when you’re actually in it?

Something that is really useful is to work with a force field of golden light. Here’s how…

Imagine a warm golden light. Imagine it coming down into your crown and moving out through your whole body. Imagine it as a strong force field around you. It’s not protection so to speak, because I’d like to not work in the energy of needing protection – instead, imagine that it is a very strong yet porous force field of high vibrational energy that only allows high frequency energy to enter. This golden light becomes a filter around you. It allows you to take in what serves you and it filters out anything that has a lower vibration.

This is a great way to take control of your own energy field when you are in a situation that could otherwise feel compromising.

Here are 5 quick steps to make sure you enjoy this holiday season – even among the crowds… 

  1. Prepare your energy field by getting a good night’s sleep the night before the event/outing.

  2. Spend some time in meditation before leaving to attend your event.

  3. Use my super simple tip to keep the vibrational energies around you high while you’re there (you’ll have to check out the video to get the tip!).

  4. Don’t push yourself! It’s OK to check out early if your body is telling you that’s what’s best – honor yourself and your needs.

  5. Afterwards, take a nap, enjoy a hot bath with crystals and epsom salt, or listen to a healing meditation that can help clear some of the unwanted energies you may have picked up.
